Time for sleep
You have a newborn at home and most likely do not sleep? To being a parent includes caring for many other things too, and resting completely … remains almost impossible. I hope the following tips will help you:
Use a breast pump
Some parents start feeding their baby with a pacifier from very early. With a breast pump, you will have a solid solution to the problem – feed your baby in the morning and then save some of your milk for later when your spouse or some assistant can do this. So, omitting a meal gives you a little more time to sleep.
Swing
If you have a swing for a baby, you can simply tie it with a rope that comes to you. So you will have a system to make baby fall sleep ,when cry, while you are lying on the bed. Make sure you tie the rope so it’s safe for the baby.
Alternation
Some parents go to the alternation scheme for night feeding. One night – Mom, and the next – dad. This can be a pretty good option for both of you. In this situation, it’s nice to have things ready in advance so that you do not waste any time ,that you can spend in sleeping.
Separate rooms
In the nights in which one of you is very exhausted, he can simply move to the other room. This will give you a little peace of mind without weeping, changing diapers and eating. Of course, there must be a lot of support and understanding between the two parents so that something like that can be fulfilled.
“Work” in shifts
If your husband has energy, you can divide sleep in the two parts of the day. One takes the morning and the other part of the night. As a matter of fact, dear dads, we know you’re tired, but daily baby care is just as tiring as your job. So, without complaints! Your wife should also rest.
Early bedtime
Go right to the bed ,when the baby falls asleep. Sometimes it will be difficult for you, because you will probably have a lot to do, and perhaps you will want a little time for yourself and your man … Well, remember that you must first be awake ,to do anything.
Of course, with every baby and parent, things are very relative. But I hope at least part of the advice to help you. Believe me, I know what it’s like not to sleep!
